(invite only)
Kate was sat at one of the corner tables at the three broomsticks. It was her second butter beer of the day, but she didn't exactly have any other plans. She'd mentioned meeting up with Amelia here, but she didn't know if she'd remember or show up (she probably had better things to do anyway.)
It was rather cold in the three broomsticks, despite the roaring open fire, there was still a bitter chill that raced through the door whenever anyone entered or left. Kate pulled her sweater on and turned back to her drink.

The snow was starting to fall early that morning as Amelia woke up with the hint of fresh snow filling the air of the Ravenclaw common room. She awoke and stretched out her arms with a smile on her face, today was going to be a good day. Amelia slid out of bed early that morning and looked outside to see the colors of the sun reflecting on the small flakes of snow as they fell.
With a bright outlook she threw on an over shirt in excitement and tried to fly, needless to say it was not her shirt, and her wings did not move as she thud to the ground. Some of the girls woke up to the laud bang that came from the window of the common room and shouted “Shush!” they did not really care and Amelia as such a klutz it did not matter.
She took off the shirt and hoped that whoever owned it would not notice, she took one of her own, that had the perfect fit for a faerie, her wings were free to flutter. She made her way out of the dorm this time with out much noise. Amelia took off in search of some warm breakfast, still wearing her pajama bottoms she found herself getting some fresh bread from the house elves working in the kitchen.
After a full tummy she got to work on her assignments. There were quite a few that she needed to get done, and hoped that she would not be late for meeting Kate at the Three Broomsticks. Amelia started with her favorite subjects then her least. It may have been better to do it the other way as she was so bored she fell asleep on the library floor. It was a Hogsmeade weekend so there was not anyone there to wake her up.
Needless to say she awake with a book stamped on her face and hair wrapped over her eyes she looked around with a peculiar eye. Then seeing the clock in the library, “Gosh I’m late!” she exclaimed and jumped off the floor. It was then she noticed she was still in her pajamas, not wanting to go back to the common room she did a quick check and used her wand to change into some warm jeans and a red sweater. She fixed her hair and tucked behind her ears.
She could not leave everything out in the library so she moved fast to speak, “Clean up please, I’m Late!” she said with a point and flick of her wand the books and parchment moved around the room, some leaving and heading to the Ravenclaw dorm she hoped that no one would get in its way. Her name was on the parchment, she would be in trouble for using magic outside of classes.
Without another second of delay she placed her wand back into her pocket and dashed out of the castle. She flew there to keep a good time as she arrived to a rather full three broomsticks she looked around. Another quick search she saw Kate and with a smiled waved over to her. It was to crowded to walk over so she sighed and rose from the ground and made her way to the table. “I am so sorry I am late... Wow it is busy in here today.” She said taking a seat.

Kate was in her own little world, staring at the frosty glass of the window next to her seat when she heard “I am so sorry I am late... Wow it is busy in here today.” Kate turned to see Amelia. She had remembered. She was right, it was rather crowded in here, even for a Hogsmeade weekend. All the bar seats were taken and Kate had gotten the last table, even if it was the last little corner table, it was still better then some people had managed thought Kate looking over to the door as yet more people piled in.
'Hey. Good to see you. You're not late, just a little behind schedule perhaps. Butterbeer?'
She looked like she needed one. She'd only met Amelia once before, but she did seem a little flustered.

Amelia smiled as Kate asked if she wanted a butterbeer, “That would be wonderful. Thank you.” She said as a waitress came over trough the crowd of people who had just came in. In another moment later Amelia had a warm butterbeer in front of her and she smiled. “You are going to think I am a complete idiot, I fell asleep in the library.” She said with a pink color to her cheeks and it was not because of the cool breeze that was let into the room. “I love the snow, but can not wait for warm weather again, how about you?” Amelia said as she drank her butterbeer that warmed her inside out.

'Yeah, we've all done that. You've mentioned about a time before when a prefect caught you asleep on your sketch pad. Guessing it wasn't anything fun this time. Because, you know, at this time of day, no-one realises what work is due for tomorrow until, what ten at night. So you're up all night doing the blasted thing! You're probably more organised then myself...' Kate said honestly. 'I managed to pass Herbology by the way. For the first time in forever. So I meant to say thanks... again.'
'No I definitely prefer the colder weather,' Kate said. 'Erm... not sure why! ... I've got nicer tops for winter time!' she added with a laugh. 'No, I don't tan well, kind of because I don't sunbathe or generally spend huge amounts of time in the sun. Might explain why I'm so pale!'

“Really, My wings get far to cold. It is hard to fly in the snow, weighs down them.” Amelia said as she sipped her butter bear, “Sorry you don’t want to hear about my wings.” Amelia knew that not everyone one had wings, and in fact few did. It was nice as she sat in the crowded room that she did not worry about others seeing her; she had someone who actually wanted her there, how odd.
“I don’t really spend time tanning, but I am outside a lot in the spring and summer, and autumn for that matter. So I get that hint of color. Usually not much though.” She said clearly and in a strange sort of way, it was likes she was talking to her sister, and it was calm and fun. It was different too, because her sister would be driving her nuts too.
“So you have not really told me about yourself. Where are you from?” Amelia asked getting more comfortable being around Kate, it takes some time but she does get used to people.

'Yeah...' Kate was going to make a comment about how much of a pain wings were, but remembered that no-one knew she had wings and thought better of it.
'Where am I from? Well south coast, a little, unknown village in the middle of no-where, with nothing to do. Hogwarts is the only place outside of there I've been. '
'You're from the Faerie Palace? Guessing that would that make you Faerie royalty?'
Kate had to ask, she'd had an urge to inquire when the subject had come up in the greenhouses, she couldn't ignore it a second time. The mood so far had been mellow and normal (which had to be a first for Kate - normal conversation!) and she didn't want to disrupt the mood, she just had to know.

Amelia smiled she herself had not gone far from this little area she called home. It was such a comfort and a strain at the same time. The warm butterbeer keeping the cold out for just a little longer the girl was having generally a good time.
Ah, Amelia knew it had to come sooner or later, and she was not one to lie as Kate asked the question she hoped to avoid in the greenhouse. “Well, technically any faire is welcome in the palace…” Amelia could have left it at that but no it would not be completely honest and it was best to be honest right? “Yes, I am the second daughter… However I feel a bit strange saying princess…” she said the last word softer.
The Weaver family was something known, and only those who were around the area for a while would know that their middle name represented something about their power, how fitting. Amelia did not want too much more about it, it was not like she was going to take the thrown or anything, she knew that she did have some privileges others did not though.

Amelia trailed off after they started talking about her Faerie roots.
'Sorry, I'm making you feel uncomfortable, curiosity is all,' said Kate making sure to break the tension before any came to be. ' I think around about now a subject change would be appropriate? No?' Kate added jokingly

“I have heard that muggles say that curiosity killed the cat. Isn’t that strange?” Amelia was completely open to changing the subject, it was not that she was ashamed of who she was she just never wanted to be treated like she was something special. Your family makes you special by the love they give, not by the name you have. However that was not particularly true in this family either. The middle name was some sort of foresight into the future power of the individual.
“Its not you fault, I mean it is just weird to tell someone that you’re a princess. Even if it really does not mean that much. I have responsibilities and chores like any other student here.” Amelia offered with a friendly smile. “You should come by the palace sometime. I have been the one doing the decorating, and the garden. I love the garden.” She now felt a bit strange as the greenhouse was where the two had initially met.
“However I guess there are some better things to talk about then family.” Amelia said as she waived that the waitress and signaled for antoher butterbeer. “Did you want another one?” she was not sure how many Kate had had but butterbeer was one of those things that was just so pleasant.

'I have heard that saying. It is rather strange... and unfortunate if you were the cat.' Kate added without thinking. 'No, you can't really go up to someone and say I'm princess.... ‘Amelia made a joke about chores etc and then said some words that made Kate's blood turn slightly cold. 'You should come by the palace sometime....'
Usually invitations to anywhere were accepted straight away without question, if only because Kate didn't seem to receive many invitations of late... but if she went to the palace... someone would surely recognise her… and recognise her as Faerie… the only people that knew of her Faerie roots were her mother and father. No-one else… could she bridge the gap? Could she finally tell someone that hidden under her shirt was a harness, and under that her wings? Could she speak of the terrible upset and pain that was caused when her mother left the Faeries to live with a husband of her choice, and then the upset that was caused when his family found out? Questions started to buzz in Kate’s head. It was a welcome interruption when Amelia offered her another Butterbeer.
‘Yes please, it’s a good job these aren’t high in calories or whatever! I’d be as wide as a house, this is my third!’ Kate said with a slightly tense laugh.
The Butterbeers arrived and Kate looked down into hers, took a deep breath and looked up ‘There’s something I need to tell you.’ Kate needed to be honest with Amelia, seeing as the subject had come up, she now had little choice not to tell her, even if it meant losing the only real friend that she’d made had made whilst at Hogwarts.

“No I suppose not.” Amelia commented about the unfortunate cat. The butterbeers came with little time in-between and Amelia smiled, as Kate commented. “Well there are worse things.” She said in a friendly tone. Then Kate seemed to take a bit more serious tone to her voice as she said she needed to tell her something.
‘God what did I say!’ Amelia thought, perhaps she was to weird to hang around. “What?” her voice seemed to squeak a bit more then she had hoped for, her heart raced as the shy girl was coming back as her head felt hat. Blood rushed to her thought and Amelia felt reminded of when she had visions. Not so pleasant.

Kate chuckled, 'It's nothing to do with you promise,'
'I haven't been entirely honest with you... I have Faerie roots, I have wings.'
Silence. Kate waited to see how her bombshell would be received.

A sigh of relief came but still a bit of worry, what was she going to say?
'I haven't been entirely honest with you... I have Faerie roots, I have wings.'
“Oh that is wonderful!” She said, not sure what the problem was, “Wait, why such the drama, I don’t mind.” Amelia said with an ease in the air. Then she remembered the faerie Registry, Kate Clarke! Amelia had done the updated list a mount ago. How could she have forgotten?

Amelia took it well, suprisingly well. That was actually quite easy.
'Such a drama is because no-one else knows. You're the first wizarding person I've told, the first muggles to find out did'nt exactly take it too kindly, I was just a bit worried' Kate laughed in relief. 'Sorry I didn't say straight away...I mean, thanks for being cool about it.'
