Ever since primary school she'd always hated first days - but a first day at a new school where she had no previous experience in the subjects... why didn't she just take off all her clothes right now and have a nightmare?
so there she was (fully clothed), standing at the front of hogwarts. The school was rather imposing with it looking down on her, despite all the people rushing around Kate felt very very alone.
She didn't think anyone had noticed her, well, if they had they hadn't offered any help. Well, she did blend in somewhat. Long black leather coat, jeans, black boots and black t-shirt and rucksack. Facially there was nothing special about her either (mid-length brown hair, brown eyes etc) and nothing to set her apart from Adam (or in this case Eve...)
So it was then she decided that she couldn't stand there all day... walking up the steps, not particularly looking where she was going and she barges straight into someone. "I'm so sorry." she rushes to apologise and look up to see...

Tristise was on her way back from Hogsmeade, blonde ponytail swinging as she skipped - yes skipped - up the dirt path that lead to the front steps. When she reached the doors of the school she stopped and looked at them a moment, perhaps a moment too long as someone else ran into from behind. At first she thought it might have been Andrew, but as she turned she saw a girl there instead. She laughed and held one of the girl's shoulder.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." She smiled down at her and took in her appearance. "Love the coat." She said, nodding her approval. Her own clothes were fairly bland - green off the shoulder sleeved shirt and black cotton shorts. Nothing to really draw much attnetion to her. Though her mood right now probably did that enough already.
She let go of the girl's shoulder and stepped away a little so she wasn't looking directly down at her. "I'm Tristise Rederick, Head Girl and Hufflepuff Seventh Year. You look new and if not... well I certainly haven't met you be---" She stopped dead. If the girl wasn't new maybe she had met her before. She scrunched her nose up. She was starting to dislike this whole 'not remembering' thing. Oh well. "Before." She finished.
Hmm... where was Andrew when she needed him? It wasn't like she had run all the way... skipping wasn't nearly as fast as running... though it was Tristise afterall. She laughed at herself and rubbed the back of her neck. She often didn't realize when she used her lycan speed or strength, something she had to work on remembering to look for and restrain.

Andrew was walking up the path behind Tris, not making too much of an effort to keep up with her, she seemed to be having fun at any rate. When they got close to Hogwarts, he saw someone bump into her, and decided that he had better catch up, it was starting to look like trouble. Not necessarily trouble in a bad way, Tris was easily capable of looking after herself, but no one knew about her memory loss, so she could potentially get herself into a tight situation by saying the wrong thing.
Running to catch up, and almost out of breath by the time he got there, he arrived just in time to see Tris introducing herself to someone. She looked new, going by her rucksack, and he certainly hadn't seen her before, although that didn't necessarily mean that Tris hadn't met her either.
He steadied his breath, then held out his hand, "Hi, I'm Andrew." he said, smiling at the girl. It was always best to be nice to the new students, and try not to scare them off in the first week. He turned to Tris and added, jokingly, "You might want to try slowing down, that way you're less likely to bump into people." He hadn't seen who had walked into who, but the two of them had always been teasing each other like that, and she probably would have expected the comment. At least, she would have done before he had erased her memory.

Yes! People! Thought Kate to herself 'Love the coat' Kate heard distantly. 'Come back to your senses now,' Kate commanded her brain so she could muster some kind of reply. 'Erm...' Smooth Kate, really smooth she thought to herself. She looked at the girl, quite pretty and seemed friendly, well at least I don't think I've attracted the wrong crowd on my very first day.
The unknown person introduced herself (Tristise ) and her roles in school (which as soon as she said them Kate had forgotten!) But then she paused, something about not having met her before... ? She hadn't had she? There was a distance and almost an unsureness in those once happy eyes.
They were quickly interrupted by some guy, Andrew, (possibly a friend of the girl's?) who introduced himself. They shared a joke and then looked at me expectantly, a moment passed and then I felt my brain kick in - DER! - introduce yourself, moron! 'Hey, I'm Kate and Hufflepuff and... yeah...' She said uncomfortably. Why was she so rubbish at introductions and new people and new places and the whole concept of being new? ... please hurry up and say something anything she silently pleaded
'...and I'm not very good at introductions!' She said honestly with a slight smile.
Better, an ice breaker, just don't spoil it by saying anything stupid or offensive or anything like you've done it the past, and we all know how that ended.
