Tristise hadn't eaten all day. She had thought about going down to the Great Hall during breakfast... and lunch... and dinner. However, she hadn't made it down. Mostly because she was scared to see all those faces that she didn't know. She was scared to run into people who knew her that she had no recollection of. Granted, if she had gone down she could have found Andrew quickly and he would have helped her out... but she didn't feel like bothering him with that.
She felt very much like she was using him for protection or as a humiliation ward. Tris shook her head and looked at the clock. It was after midnight. Her stomache growled loudly and she sat up in her four poster bed and looked around the room. No one else shared it with her, it was a perk of being Head Girl. She pushed her covers off and slid to the ground, shivering as her bare feet made contact with the cold floor. She scuffled over to her black ballet style slippers and yanked them on before also throwing on a sweatshirt.
After she felt a little warmer she headed down to the common room and sneaked over to the exit. The portal swung open and creaked loudly. Tristise cringed and ducked out quickly, hopefully before anyone noticed who had caused the commotion - no doubt someone had been sleeping in the common room, fallen asleep while studying or something. She silently crept down the corridor and found her way to the kitchens with ease. It was surprising how well she remembered places now that she didn't remember people.
Slipping past the painting of fruit on the wall she checked for house elves and was glad to find that none were still working. Tristise then went over to the pantry and dug out the ingredients for pancakes. She had a craving for them and they were easy to make. She began dumping the ingredients into a big mixing bowl and then stirring them together, humming softly to herself as she worked. Cooking was good, it was calming. The only part she didn't like was clean-up, but who did? At least it was keeping her busy and she'd have food in the end - neccessary for survival so needed after a day without anything.
