Jack wandered in the library. It was a sunny yet mild Friday afternoon. A low sun was casting long shadows over the floor and along the aisles. He'd arranged to meet Feli there to do some work, yet he knew he would probably get little done. He just wasn't in the working mood. He's made sure that he'd been on time, and it looked like he had beaten her here.
He'd tried to dress, differently, better. She'd looked like she'd put effort into her appearance last time, even though she didn't know she was even meeting anyone. Perhaps she was just one of those people that whatever they put on, they always looked well turned out. Overall, Jack looked the same as always, even though he was wearing his better jeans and an ironed (!) shirt.
He approached the nearest vacant table, and put down his books. It was close to a window so there was sunlight streaming in. One of the better tables definitely. He started working, he hoped she would not think him rude for starting without her, but he did have a whole essay to write after all. He would be here long after she had finished.

The Ravenclaw she was…
Feli spent a good amount of her time in the library, that was when she was not outside. Far in the back the blond girl was fighting with none other then the monster book of monsters. That book scared her, and the girl gave a squeak as she attempted to close it. Why was that book even on the shelf? She had not even wanted that one in the first place, she was looking for Monsure’s book of potions, it was not there however. She was terrible at anything to do with potions, and it was obvious as she took a lower level class and still had to work at it.
Ravenclaws are not that smart, and she knew it. Feli smiled as she saw Jack out of the corner of her eye, she could not be certain but it was about that time. She had her hair straight and flowing down her back, the young girl was somewhat of a bubbly person and a little perkier. She stood on a stool and snatched the last book on her list. Tip toed the stood was just a little short, so with a look around the room, and no eyes on her she blew on her hand then the book was pushed out but a slight bust of wind she created.
She had three books with her as she came over to the table, they where large and had some parchment on the top so that she did not have the best view. She hoped that she would not trip. A little luck had it and she made it to the table with little flaws. Her hair a little frazzled from the fight with the book of monsters, and her light blue sweater that had long sleeves that were lose had what appeared to be a bite mare in the cloth.
Blue jeans where so comfortable to lounge in and study. It seemed Jack also got that memo, Feli thought with a giggle. “Hi Jack, how are you today?” she said looking up at the window and breathed in the sunlight, “Wonderful spot to study.” She added and took a seat across from him.

Jack looked up with a start, he hadn't realised that Feli was already there, he felt rather foolish. 'Sorry I didn't think you were here, I started without you. I'm... doing an essay which I think I've finished, but I am 3 inches short,' he said looking down at the remaining gap. Jack folded up his essay and placed it inside the cover of the corresponding book. He then got out his next piece of parchment that was already measured to the length that the essay needed to be. 'Only trouble with smaller handwriting, you always have a enormous gap left and it looks like you've done less then the others. '
He admired the view again and said 'Yes, it is nice. So how have you been?' He looked at her, her usually calm composure was slightly disturbed. 'Are you ok?' he said with a concerned tone.

“Don’t worry about it, lease there are much worse things in life then studying.” She said as she pulled out one book from the pile and a roll of parchment. She began to write down her first few thoughts then looked up.
She placed a blonde lock of hair behind her ear and smiled, “I write big so general I write more then the length, then again I write a lot anyhow. I can take a look if you want. I am really good at creating something from a few lines.” That was true, Feli loved to write songs and poems, and that helped her skill in making a connection in assignments. A little rewording and a few more explanations and it was always good.
Feli sighed, “I am fine, just had a miscommunication with a book.” Only in Hogwarts would that mean anything. Feli smiled, a she lifted her sleeve, “Apparently my shirt tastes rather good, if you ask me I think that the book is nuts.” She said with a smile in light of the situation.

Jack grinned and had to laugh when she tolf him of her misadventure with a vicious book. At this point he would add a comment about her shirt being tasty. He then remembered himself, but he decided not to. He didn't think that he'd known her quite long enough yet to flirt with her, even if he did only mean it in a friendly, complimentary and strictly wholesome way. He decided to change the topic of conversation back to work.
"If you could take a look at it, I'd be more then grateful. Even if it isn't anything of great value, just padding it out is good," he passed over his parchement to her so she could see how little progresss he had made and the amount of corrections that he had needed to make.

Her violet eyes shifted over the paper she was so full of life even in such a mundane task. Feli was a mix of so many things no one would really understand it all. The girl smiled after a few moments of silence and locked eyes with the boy in front of her. “This is good. Not too bad at all.” She said with a smiled a she moved around the table to sit beside Jack.
She smelt like a fresh storm had passed over the yards and yet the same fairly sense of comfort and hoe l lingered too. Feli was such a sweet girl,.
“You just got a little bit of mixed up things.” She said taking a seat and showing it to hi. “If you elaborate just a bit you can raise your score. “ She said looking it over once more. She took one sentence out and reworded his wording and smiled. The sentence was a bit longer and a little fuller. It was still his entire wording.
“See?” Feli said with a smile then realized that people did not really like to be corrected, she did not but she loved to help out. “Sorry you can tell me if I am being to pushy. I get a little overwhelming sometimes.” She said to him as she returned to her seat across the table leaving the page he had done.
Feli was always worried. Friends where hard to keep, even if this cherry girl looked so nice she had far and few friends. That was because she was a Veela. If that was one things he could change it would be that. There was so much that she could never do because of this heritage, never dance in public, never sing her songs…

Jack was pleased that Feli was helping him "No, you're not being pushy at all,'' he said trying his best not to sound sarcastic or anything. He was grateful for her help.
He continued to reword his essay making it longer until he had almost filled the entire parchment. He looked up, he had almost forgotten her presence he had been so absorbed in his work. He ran his fingers through this hair and sighed deeply. "Sorry. I haven't been very social have I? If you need any help with anything" he said looking at her work.
Like she would need his help, she did seem smart, and probably like she didn't need anyone's help. "Well, if I can't help, I definitely owe you that cappuccino," he said hoping that she hadn't forgotten and already made plans with her other friends.

Feli smiled, her gleaming smile. It made her feel a bit better as he said she was not being pushy. They both got quiet taking a change to study their own things. Feli looked aggravated for a moment. Then Jack broke the silence. “Don’t worry about it. If we kept talking I doubt we would get any of our work done.” She said with a grin.
“You can defiantly help; I am having a hard time figuring out what would happen if you added a bit of bluberworm and a hair of a veela?” This was a true question, and important because she needed to know for potions, and if it was some sort of reaction, because in fact she was part veela. It would be nothing good if it exploded or something. That would be just like the professor give her an assignment that traced back to her own linage. She however still had a hard time getting the knack of positions, no matter what the ingredients.
“I can not find it anywhere in the book. It is driving me crazy. I have to write a foot of parchment about how veela hair reacts to certain potions and ingredients.” She grumbled, it was so frustrating for her. This was the one subject that she had such a hard time with.

''Bluberworm and a hair of a veela? Hmm...'' Jack thought for a second, he should know this, he remembered the lesson on this. Well, he remembered the Veela that came into that lesson to kindly donate hair and to answer any questions that they may have...! It took him a second to stop thinking about the Veela and start remembering facts from the lesson, eventually he got there.
''Bluberworm if heated with Veela hair will catch ignite, but there have been instances where if Bluberworm has been in the presence of Veela hair has just spontaneously combust. They are very rare, but it has happened. If you want to fill up more room you could talk about the flammability of the different ingredients, and then the effects that occur when they are together. ''
Jack had been so busy talking to Feli about her work he hadn't noticed that he had continued writing at the same time. His parchment was completely filled. He neatly folded it and tucked it in the inside cover of his book, he couldn't actually believe that he had done it in so little time, usually he would have taken him double. He opened his other book and opened it on the page that had the majority of his revison notes on, even if he didn't do any revision the thought was there.
He looked over to Feli and her essay, ''Is that okay? How much more have you got to do?''

“Ew, that is not good.” Feli cringed at the though of spontaneous combustion, she was not going near any bluberworm without some sort of protection anymore. She smiled though, “Thanks that is very helpful.” She said noticing that Veela hair often had a strange or combustible reaction to things. She jotted down the last of her words on the parchment and smiled, she only had one more assignment to do.
It was a short essay for divinations, how wonderful that would be. “I have just one more thing to do; it should not take long, it divinations.” She smiled knowing what to write on the page.
My prediction for the near future is that in potions I will be introduced to blubberworm and my hair will spontaneously combust due to the sometimes unstable reactions to the blubberwom and Veela hair. However I feel that it will not be fatal because I am only half veela and that may be my salvation.
Good thing Divination’s did not have a size limit to the predictions, Feli felt confident that the assignment was good enough to be passed it, and hoped for the best. Most of the professors knew she was a vela, so she was not concerned with that, it was new people she did not like to know, because if often made them act very strange around her, luckily Jack had been so kind to her she felt like a normal girl.
“That should be it for me. How about you?” she said with her lively smile.

Jack was surprised that Feli finished her second assignment so quickly, he had only managed to read a couple of lines. He looked up ''No that's it for me too.''
He flicked his book closed and studied her closely. ''Thanks for keeping me company whilst I do this, definitely a welcome change from doing it alone and struggling.''
This is usual where he would say something stupid or to embarrass himself. He knew what was coming next, an awkward silence. So he said the first thing that came to mind
''So. You still want to meet at Hogsmeade?''
Yes, that would do nicely for now...

They had actually finished their work. Feli was happy that it was all done and they had little to worry about for classes next time. It was refreshing to take a day and work with someone rather then yourself. The day seemed clear out and it would be nice to take a walk outside later, Feli was such the outdoors girl, even if she did not look like one.
Then he asked if she was still up to go to Hogsmeade, “Most certainly, that would be fun. No books to worry about is a bonus.” She said with a smiled. She was such a lively girl who could not like her? Feli had plenty that id not like her, most times it was one meeting and never see them again, so Jack was the real treat for her.
“When did you want to?” I seemed to Feli that it was a strange way of asking the question, but she figured that the general idea would be set out. Everyone said things that made them a bit weird sounding, but that was the great thing about people; you never know what to expect.

He collected his books into a neat pile, sensing that they would be leaving soon.
"Erm... I'm not really one for early mornings, and even when I am up in body, I'm really that awake. What can I say, my brain doesn't click into action until later! Afternoon perhaps? But if you wanted to meet at lunchtime I'm always in the three broomsticks at that time."
Jack realised that he probably sounded very forward arranging when they were meeting. He decided to cover his back slightly.
"But whenever is good for, we could meet up later on or... whenever is good for you." He realised that he's said 'whenever is good for you' twice in the same sentence, so not only might she think he was forward, but now she could think he couldn't string a sentence together!
