So she had gone away. She had taken a train out of town, met a boy who reminded her all too much of Mortifer, made her want to turn around and run back home. She didn't though. She had resolved to go away and so she stuck to her guns and ran. Cowardly? Maybe. She just didn't want to hurt anyone, least of all Mortifer. Of course she had probably done just that in leaving.
If he cared that is.
After a while of being away though she just couldn't take it. All she thought about was Mortifer. Crazy or not she didn't know. Mad about the vampire she had left behind - she was sure about that. Maybe she didn't feel completely right with him, but she felt completely wrong without him. Besides she was going insane with or without him - maybe if she just saw him when she felt ok it would make the process a little easier. Or maybe it would make it harder, maybe she'd hurt him... but she wouldn't know unless she tried it and everything might be alright.
Teleristy stood in the pouring rain in the middle of the day. The saving graces being that she was a daywalker and the clouds in the sky made it feel like night under the thick canopy of the forbidden forest. Thick enough to block most light, but the water slipped right through under such a torrential downpour. It just cascaded from one leaf to another and onward to the ground or whoever stood under the falling droplets. Like the vampire queen.
Her blonde hair was plastered to her face, shading her sea green eyes which scanned the forest and the vampire castle before her. Despite her new resolution to return her feet would take her no further. Teleristy turned her back to the castle and leaned against a nearby tree with a deep sigh. There was too much she feared to ruin by going inside. As much as she wanted to, there was just too much she didn't want to risk.
Like Mortifer. Like Friendship. Like Love.

"Rain, rain go away... come again some other day."
The silky voice of none other than a vampire crawled around the trees. Lips of satin soon curled into a smile once the verse fled from his tongue. Pale hands grazed the trees as he came about, and striking blue eyes locked on their target. She seemed to be troubled, sitting there alone, letting the rain wash her pretty self away. He could only stare with raised eyebrows, curious as to why she would be sitting all alone. Vampire's could be the loner type, but she seemed lost when a sigh heaved her body; every action speaking that she was somewhat haunted by despair.
As he approached, he would become more visible to her with each passing step. Keiran was a skinny boy, who sported a pair of daringly tight jeans and a white dress shirt with a semi-tight black sweater over top, revealing merely the collar of the previously mentioned shirt. Over time he had let his hair grow a bit longer, traded in his lip ring for snakebites, and gotten rid of his red streak. He had went for a small transformation in the time that he had been absent from this place. The place he should have called home.
Actually, Keiran had never once set foot in the vampire's territory before. Barely even the forest. The only time he approached the dark woods was when he had to feed. He usually did not have to venture too far in before catching a wandering snack. The only reason he made himself scarce among the vampires was because he did not want any students or many people finding out his true identity. He didn't want to leave. He'd already spilled the beans to one student, but he found her to be special.
Infact, he missed her and wanted to see her again. Very badly.
The cute boy had to stop thinking, because he was fast approaching his target. One thing had not changed with Keiran; he was still kind of shy. "Hello there, um, are you alright?" in a voice that seemed almost too cute to be a vampire, coming from a boy looking all too innocent to be of that speices. He meant his words in the nicest way possible, not wanting to offend or alarm the vampiress.

"Rain, rain go away... come again some other day."
Teleristy turned her head at the sound of someone's voice drifting through the rain and trees. She looked about and soon her eyes fell on a male figure moving closer. It was some young boy, but he was a vampire - she could smell it even over the strong odor of wet decaying leaves. He approached her slowly and asked if she was ok.
Was she?
She leaned her head back and looked up at the canopy, her face becoming drenched quickly from the falling rain. Despite the nussaince that the feeling of rain in her eyes was she didn't look away immediately. However, after a moment even she coudn't stand. She looked back at him and shrugged without a word at first. Then she spoke in barely a whisper, rather a mumble. "I guess I'm ok. Why?"
Had she honestly just asked why someone asked if she was alright? Yes. Yes, she had. Wasn't it obvious? She was sitting in the rain, sighing and freezing her ass off. Why else would someone ask? The rain was warm for the time of year, but since she had been out in it so long and her clothes her sodden it wasn't nearly as warm any more. Thankfully she didn't really need to be warm. It wasn't like she was going to catch a cold or something.
She leaned around the tree and stared at the vampire castle again and huffed. "Uh... I don't suppose you would know... how the vampire called Mortifer is doing? Would you?" She asked hesitantly. "I mean... it's not like I care or anything, but I was... supposed to find out..." Liar. She cared. She wanted to hear he was doing well, but not too well. She didn't want to hear he had found another vampiress to occupy his time. Teleristy would just die... but if he had? Well she'd just have to deal with it.
At least he'd be happy and hopefully she wouldn't be insane.
"This is so stupid. I should just walk in there and find him, shouldn't I? Is it stupid also that... I'm scared of what I might find?" She wasn't really asking the boy, she was just asking in general, but she wasn't asking so softly he couldn't hear it so... Teleristy sighed more heavily than she had yet and hit her forehead lightly on the bark of the tree before her. She reached down and grabbed a rock, throwing it as far as she could angrily. "I'm so STUPID." She screamed in frustration.
Another mood swing. Just what she needed. She sank down the tree and hit her fist against her knee. "damn it, Tele. Stop that. Goddess, please stop that." She whined - yes, whined. What a baby. Some queen she was. They were really far better off without her. So why the hell did she come back? What a stupid stupid move. That was the consensus - she was stupid, probably the stupidest person in the history of man - or vampire - kind. Why... why had she come back?

{ Sorry it's a little late. }
As an after thought, Keiran began thinking how creepy that voice would be in a dark forest to a little girl or someone. He couldn't imagine if he was a scared little kid and he was singing something. He could almost laugh at that though, except for the sad vampiress in front of him made his demeanor immediately not as bubbly. He began to nervously pick at his black nail polish. He was not one to normally associate with vampires - when he was pretending to be human. That's what he was doing this time around.
"You don't seem that way, so I just thought that I would ask, like... if you need anything at all?" his silky words seemed nearly troubled to form, he was sort of self concious in this moment. Especially since his question was stupid and obvious, it made him seem very oblivious to the girl sitting before him. He felt like a jackass. At least he'd made the effort to talk to her and help her out... would the vampiress give him some respect for that? Sometimes people preferred that others just stayed out of their business, most vampires had that loner attitude.
His own hands crossed over his stomach, every action of his spoke that he was nervous. He hated when his kid-like behaviour bit through his vampire certainties. It happened often, which made him so believably human to other people. He was almost one of the only vampires that would be able to blush.
Keiran wasn't a normal vampire, anyway. Instead of burning from under the sun; he sparkled. There were other little things that made him completely unique from most vampires. He knew that there were some like him, but he had not met many. Often he wondered why he was so different. Why his body was like stone, a rock, and his fingers always so dreadfully cold.
After she asked him about someone named Mortifer, she began saying many different things. Immediately he felt bad, though maybe she needed to get some of that off of her chest. "I've never met Mortifer, I haven't really been in the forest yet," he admitted honestly, a cute sheepish look appeared on his face.
"Um.." he said meekly, quietly, all though he took a step closer to her, as if to see into her mind, curious where all this was coming from. "I doubt a lovely vampiress like you is stupid... it sounds like your having some sort of trouble with this guy?" he didn't mean to pry, but there the words came from his lips. Again he looked sheepish, but that was the way he'd spent most of his life. Sometimes he said and did things that probably would not appease most. He couldn't help it, he was just like that. At least Keiran was cute enough to make up for his bad habits. The best intentions were always his aim, but not necessarily what he achieved.

Teleristy sighed as the boy asked if she needed anything. She sighed and buried her face in her hands as she started crying. "I need to be completely sane again." She said through sobbing. "I want to go home and that is my home." She pointed with one hand to the castle and then dropped it back in her lap with the other as she looked back up at the vampire boy. He looked so innocent and nervous. She pouted, tears still streaming down her face though it was probably hard to tell through the rain.
"I don't have problems with Mortifer... well not really. I mean I have problems and I'm with Mortifer... sort of... but..." She was quiet a moment as she looked back at the castle and sniffled, trying to stop crying. "I've been losing it lately. I've been having mood swings, I've been having trouble controlling myself when I feed. Normally I make it a rule not to kill. I take just enough to satisfy me and if one person can't provide that I will take from more than one so none of them are drained. Lately though I'll just jump at a victim and drain them. Occasionally I can catch myself before they're dead, but... for the most part I haven't been able to."
"It hurts. I feel like a monster. I'm not a monster. I swore I would never be a monster. I promised the Goddess who has given me so many gifts and so much help... and I feel like I am betraying her - even if I can't help it." Teleristy's voice had gone so soft and so strained as hse spoke. "And Mortifer... I don't want him to see me like this. He'd probably be just fine with it because vampires are meant to be killers by general standard, but... it's not ok to me and I... I just can't do this."
"I want to see Mortifer though. I want to go back to him. I miss him. I love him." Teleristy brought her knees up under her chin and wrapped her arms around them. "And my people... I'm such a terrible queen hiding and leaving them without someone ruling. I'm sure Mortifer has probably taken it upon himself to keep things in line in my absence, but... I feel bad for just dropping everything and running away. They must all hate me..."
((sooo... I think I might have come up with something to explain Tele's "insanity" butttt... it needs Mortifer's approval...))
